Recently, during one of the first Photo Tour in Venice after Covid-19, one of my customer brought with her an old, but fantastic lens, so I had the chance to test the Leica Summilux 35mm f/1.4 made in Canada on my Leica SL. The scene was inside the workshop of my friend Paolo, a craftsman making oars and rowlocks for the gondolas. There were extremely poor light conditions, and I used the 35mm wide open, which means set at f1/4. Despite the lens was more than 40 years old, the result was very good, and it allowed me to use a fast shutter speed to freeze the moment. Leica SL with 35mm Summilux f/1,4 Made in Canada, 1/500s f/1.4 iso 400.
