The man with the oar in Sant’Alvise, Venice

The man with the oar in Sant’Alvise, Venice

Man with oar

Marc De Tollenaere July 12, 2020

It was a beautiful - not too hot - July morning in Cannaregio, Venice, while I was holding a Photo Tour in the labyrinth of streets near the old church of Sant’Alvise. This man just came out from a “remièra” the place where members can pick up a typical boat for rowing in the lagoon. He was proudly carrying his oar.
